In a troubling incident in Karamba village, located in the Sanjeli taluka of Dahod district, a 15-year-old girl was abducted by a young man. The abduction took place on April 26. The accused, identified as Akshaybhai Amleshbhai Muniyah from the nearby Datgadh village, reportedly lured the girl with promises of love and marriage.
According to the girl’s father, after realising that his daughter was missing, he filed a complaint at the Sanjeli police station. The police have registered a case and are now taking legal action.
This incident raises serious concerns about the safety of young girls in rural areas of Gujarat. The Sanjeli taluka is known for its tribal population and is situated in a remote area surrounded by hills. The local community primarily relies on agriculture and animal husbandry for their livelihood. With crops like maize, wheat, and various pulses being the main products, the region faces challenges in education and safety.
The Sanjeli area has a history of such incidents, and the local authorities are working hard to address the issue. Community awareness programs are being launched to educate parents and children about safety and the importance of reporting suspicious activities.
The police have urged the community to remain vigilant and report any unusual behavior. They are also emphasizing the need for stronger protective measures for minors. Parents are encouraged to keep a close eye on their children and educate them about the dangers of being lured away by strangers.
In conclusion, the abduction of this young girl has sparked a conversation about the need for better safety measures in rural Gujarat. The hope is that with increased awareness and community involvement, such incidents can be reduced in the future. The girl’s family is anxiously awaiting her safe return, while local authorities continue their search for the suspect.
