On June 24, the Adani Foundation marked the 63rd birthday of its Chairman, Shri Gautam Adani, with a remarkable blood donation drive. This event took place across 206 cities in 21 states and two union territories in India, and it achieved a record-breaking collection of 27,661 units of blood. This surpasses last year’s collection of 25,282 units, showing the growing support for this noble cause.

The initiative was led by the Adani Healthcare team and saw enthusiastic participation from employees and partners of the Adani Group. With 27,661 units collected, this drive is set to benefit over 83,000 patients. The blood components collected include Whole Blood, PCV, Platelet Concentrates, Plasma, FFP, Cryoprecipitate, and Albumin, which are crucial for saving lives.

Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, expressed her gratitude to all participants. She said, “I deeply thank our Adani Parivaar for stepping forward and making this act of seva count. Your generosity will touch countless lives.”

This year, the blood donation drive expanded internationally. Camps were held at the Colombo West International Terminal in Sri Lanka and the Dar-es-Salam Port in Tanzania, where over 100 donors participated. This international reach highlights the commitment of the Adani Foundation to serve communities beyond India.

The blood donation drive has been an annual tradition since 2011, commemorating Gautam Adani’s birthday. It reflects the guiding philosophy of the Adani Group: “Seva hi Sadhana hai,” meaning service is worship. The Adani Foundation is dedicated to equitable and sustainable development in various communities.

With the support of over 3,000 professionals, including doctors and paramedics, the drive was conducted in partnership with Red Cross blood banks and government hospitals. This collaboration ensured a smooth process and maximum benefit to patients in need.

The Adani Foundation operates in 7,060 villages across 21 states, positively impacting the lives of 9.6 million people. The commitment to community service continues to grow through various initiatives, including education, healthcare, and livelihoods.

In her message, Dr. Priti Adani highlighted the importance of community involvement and the spirit of giving during this special occasion. The record-breaking collection of blood units is a testament to the collective effort and dedication of all involved.
