The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) recently announced the results for the CA Final, Intermediate, and Foundation examinations held in May 2025. This announcement was made on July 6, 2025, and it has brought good news for many students in Ahmedabad.
At the Ahmedabad center, the results showed a mixed performance across different levels. In the CA Final exams, the overall pass percentage for both groups was 19.35%. Out of 1,252 students who appeared, only 242 managed to pass. Among the successful candidates, Priyal Jain achieved an impressive all-India 18th rank, while Partha Shah secured the 28th rank. These results highlight the hard work and determination of students in Ahmedabad.
In the CA Intermediate category, the performance was slightly lower. The pass percentage for both groups stood at 10.62%. Group 1 had a pass rate of 13.99%, while Group 2 saw a much better rate of 33.18%. Out of 1,892 students who appeared for both groups, 201 passed. Kinjal Chaudhary earned an all-India 29th rank, and Yug Patel followed closely with the 38th rank. This indicates that while the overall performance may not have been high, some students still excelled.
The CA Foundation exam had a pass percentage of 13%. Out of 1,348 students who attempted the exam, only 175 passed. This exam is often seen as the first step for many aspiring chartered accountants, and the results show the challenges students face.
Nirav Agarwal, the Chairman of the ICAI Ahmedabad Branch, expressed his congratulations to all the successful candidates. He noted that this performance reflects the dedication of students and the support provided by faculty and coaching institutes in the city. The ICAI provides various resources and support systems to help students succeed, which is crucial in such a competitive field.
Overall, nearly 100,000 aspirants across India sat for the exams in May 2025. The results indicate a challenging year for many, but also a year of achievement for those who ranked highly.
