The annual conference of the Arya Bhajanopadeshak Council took place at Gurukul Kurukshetra. The chief guest, the Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvratji, addressed the attendees and encouraged them to promote natural farming. He stressed that the Arya community should spread awareness about natural farming like they did with the Hindi movement and cow protection movement.
Governor Acharya Devvratji highlighted the need to eliminate social evils such as superstitions and untouchability, which the Arya community has worked against historically. He noted the urgent need for awareness in agriculture as chemical farming is severely affecting soil, water, and health. He pointed out that the only solution is to adopt natural farming practices.
The situation has become critical, with children developing life-threatening diseases like cancer. Scientific studies have found traces of urea in mother’s milk. Many households now have diabetes and high blood pressure patients, primarily due to food produced from chemical farming. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that cancer could explode in India within the next 10 to 15 years. Thus, it is crucial for the country to shift towards cow-based natural farming for human welfare and nature protection.
Acharya Devvratji referred to the historic foundation of the ‘Gaukrushi Adi Rakshini Sabha’ by Swami Dayanand Saraswati, which aimed to protect cows and ensure pure and wholesome food for the people. However, chemical farming has completely eliminated the role of cows, leading to accidents on roads due to stray cattle. The excessive use of urea, pesticides, and DAP has rendered the soil barren and polluted groundwater.
He explained the fundamental differences between natural, chemical, and organic farming. Natural farming will protect cows, improve groundwater levels, enhance the environment, and increase soil fertility. It will also provide pure grains to people, leading to a healthier lifestyle and doubling the farmers’ income, making them financially self-reliant.
During the event, the council’s president, Shri Sahdev Singh Bedhak, along with other dignitaries, including Pandit Yogesh Datt and Kailash Karmath, was present. They all pledged to promote the message of Acharya Devvratji and accelerate the awareness campaign for natural farming across the country.
The event began with all members inspecting Gurukul’s natural farming farm, witnessing the benefits of natural farming firsthand. The attendees praised Acharya Devvratji’s efforts, considering natural farming a powerful tool for societal transformation.
As part of the conference, the council honoured senior Bhajanopadeshaks of the Arya community. Acharya Devvratji and Gurukul’s president, Rajkumar Garg, presented awards to Shri Dhaniram Bedhak, Master Harisingh, Beersingh Arya, Amarsingh, Pandit Sitaram, and Smt. Santoshbala Arya. They received shawls, fruits, and a cash prize of ₹11,000 for their contributions and service.
All scholars and preachers present at the conference heartily welcomed Acharya Devvratji’s message and vowed to advance the natural farming awareness campaign throughout the nation.
