A shocking incident of attempted murder occurred at the Amreli Civil Hospital. Following a previous fight, a man drove his car recklessly into three young men on the hospital premises. Luckily, no one was killed in the incident. However, the driver hit the young men and then reversed the car over them again. Two of the young men suffered serious injuries and were later transferred to a hospital in Rajkot for treatment.
The incident began on June 29, when Ravi Vegda and Bharat Ketiya had a brawl in Savarkundla. A police report was filed regarding the fight. The injured, Ravi Vegda and Hitesh Ketiya, were admitted to Amreli Civil Hospital.
On the night of June 30, Ravi Vegda, Ajay Chouhan, and Hitesh Gelotara were walking towards the canteen from the hospital. During this time, Bharat Ketiya’s brother, Jaysukh Ketiya, arrived in his I-20 car with the intention to hit Ravi Vegda. He drove the car straight into the three young men.
The impact was so strong that the three friends were thrown away from the point of collision. But the driver, Jaysukh Ketiya, did not stop there. He reversed the car and ran over the young men again. After this brutal act, he fled the scene.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and the Amreli police have launched an investigation based on this footage. Ajay Chouhan and Hitesh Gelotara, who were seriously injured, were taken to Rajkot for further medical care. The police have filed a case for attempted murder and are continuing their investigation into this alarming event. The community is left shaken, and there are calls for justice for the victims of this unfortunate incident. The hospital staff and local residents are hoping for the recovery of the injured youths and a swift resolution to this case.
