Bharat Natyam Arangetram Celebrated in Ankleshwar

In Ankleshwar, a vibrant cultural event took place at Sharda Bhavan. Three young dancers, Dharmi, Paridhi, and Swara, showcased their skills in a Bharat Natyam Arangetram. This event was organised by Zheel Nritya Niketan. The three girls have dedicated seven years to learning this classical dance form. Their performances captivated the audience, who were left spellbound.

Bharat Natyam is a traditional Indian dance that requires extensive training. The Arangetram marks a dancer’s debut performance after years of hard work. Dharmi, Paridhi, and Swara began learning Bharat Natyam at a young age. After seven years of consistent practice, they presented their Arangetram with great success.

The girls’ families played a crucial role in their journey. Dharmi’s parents, Shailesh and Jayshree Amipara; Paridhi’s parents, Kapil and Pragya Lad; and Swara’s parents, Harenbhai and Preetiben Limbachiya, provided unwavering support and encouragement.

The dancers received guidance from Kalpanaben Jain, who has been teaching Bharat Natyam for over 40 years. Her dedication has helped nurture many talented dancers at Zheel Nritya Niketan.

The event also welcomed special guests. Notable attendees included Saurabh Mehta, a lawyer from the Gujarat High Court; Shrikant Vag, a prominent figure from UPL University; and Kinnariben Mehta, an art-loving teacher from Shri Vasan Vidyamandir in Gandhinagar.

The performance highlighted the rich cultural heritage of India. The audience was thrilled to see the younger generation embrace this ancient art form. They expressed hope that future generations would continue to celebrate and strengthen this invaluable cultural legacy.

The Arangetram included various dance pieces. The young dancers performed items such as Pushpanjali, Alarippu, Jatiswaram, Varnam, Padams, Kinara, Shlokam, Tillana, and Mangalam. Each piece demonstrated their hard work and dedication.
