On World Environment Day, the Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Palanpur West branch distributed about 1,000 saplings. This event aimed to promote tree planting and care. The initiative focused on ensuring that each member looks after one tree. During the sapling distribution, the names and mobile numbers of all participants were registered by the branch’s women members. The event was attended by several key figures including Regional Secretary Dinesh Bhai, State Minister Vishwesh Bhai, and Environment Project Coordinator Anil Bhai. Many members and women from the branch joined in large numbers to support the cause.
The distribution was led by Lalji Bhai Judal, the environment activity coordinator, along with his team, who ensured that proper care was taken in distributing the saplings. The Bharat Vikas Parishad is a non-political, voluntary organisation formed to promote social service and cultural development in India. BVP has been actively involved in various community service projects since its establishment in 1963.
The organisation has grown to include over 1,500 branches across India, with more than 140,000 members. Its mission includes social, cultural, ethical, and spiritual development, aiming at the overall growth of Indian society. BVP’s local branches have also been involved in humanitarian efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, distributing sanitizers and food rations to those in need.
