In response to the water problems in the Banaskantha district, the Gujarat government has initiated several water conservation projects. The Narmada Canal-based Sipau pipeline project aims to fill local reservoirs and improve water supply. This project has been allocated a budget of 592 crore rupees and is expected to benefit various regions including Tharad, Disa, and others. The Sipau pipeline will cover 70 kilometers and connect to multiple reservoirs in the area.
As the investigation continues, the community hopes for answers and support to address the underlying issues that have led to these recent tragedies.
