In Bhadramali village, located in Disa, a man pretending to be a doctor has been arrested. He practiced medicine without a medical degree, risking the health of local people. The suspect, identified as Arifbhai Daudbhai Mir, is 35 years old and resides in Samamota, a nearby area. His arrest followed a complaint filed by Dr. Darshanbhai Shaileshkumar Trivedi at the Disa Rural Police Station.
The police acted on a tip-off that someone was practicing medicine illegally. Upon arriving at the village, they raided a clinic that had no visible signage. Inside, they found Arifbhai seated at a table where various allopathic medicines were displayed. When questioned, he admitted that he did not possess any medical degree.
Authorities seized medical equipment and medicines valued at over 7,741.97 INR, including syringes, injections, tablets, a stethoscope, and blood pressure instruments. These items were confiscated as evidence.
The police have stated that operating without a medical degree poses a significant risk to public safety. Legal action has been initiated against Arifbhai under sections 125 of the Indian Penal Code and clauses 30 and 33 of the Gujarat Medical Practitioners Act.
