From June 12, the Dahod-Valsad Express train will see new changes in its coach composition. The railway authorities have decided to add one AC chair car and one general chair car to the existing train. This change comes after a long-standing demand for the resumption of the Valsad-Dahod intercity train service, which was halted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled this demand by inaugurating the new express train on May 22. The train is designated as train number 19011/12.
Initially, the train was operated with eight general coaches, one AC chair car, and one seating chair car. Now, starting from June 12, the train will include one AC chair car, two seating chair cars, and ten general coaches. However, there are no changes to the train’s arrival and departure times or its stopping points.
Travelers can expect improved comfort with the addition of more seating options. This new coach composition aims to accommodate the increasing number of passengers traveling between Dahod and Valsad. The prime minister’s initiative to start this train service aims to enhance connectivity for people in these regions.
The train number 19012 will operate regularly, leaving Dahod at 11:55 AM and reaching Valsad at 8:05 PM on the same day. The Valsad-Dahod Express will depart from Valsad at 5:15 AM and arrive in Dahod at 11:05 AM. These train services will stop at various stations along the route, including Bilimora, Navsari, Surat, Ankleshwar, Bharuch, Miyagam Karjan, Vadodara, Samlaya, Derol, Godhra, Piplod, and Limkheda.
Passengers can book tickets for these trains starting from May 25 at PRS counters and through the IRCTC website. For detailed information, travelers are encouraged to visit the railway inquiry website. This enhancement in train services reflects the commitment of the Indian Railways to improve passenger facilities and meet the growing travel demands.
