Visnagar, Gujarat – Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has inaugurated the ‘Apna Ghar’ ashram in Visnagar, which is run by the Madhuri Vraj Waris Seva Sadan from Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The inauguration event was attended by state ministers and other dignitaries.
This ashram is built for orphans, the needy, and destitute men and women. It provides accommodation and all essential living needs. During the opening ceremony, the Chief Minister praised the donors who contributed to the construction of the ashram, recognising their valuable support.
In his address, the Chief Minister celebrated the charitable activities performed by the ‘Apna Ghar’ organisation for orphans, the needy, and the elderly. He mentioned that such organisations offer shelter to the underprivileged, bringing a ray of hope into their lives.
The ashram has provisions for timely meals, healthcare, entertainment, and spiritual activities for its residents. The Chief Minister assured that the government would extend all possible support to encourage the activities of this organisation.
The establishment of this ashram in Visnagar will significantly benefit the surrounding community, providing a safe haven for those in need, as stated by representatives of the organisation.
At the end of the event, the Chief Minister visited the ashram to inspect the facilities and interacted with the beneficiaries to learn about their experiences.
Additionally, during the same event, various development projects worth over ₹495 crore were inaugurated, in the presence of state ministers and prominent figures. The Chief Minister also handed over compensation checks to landholder farmers involved in the Visnagar bypass road project, distributed tuberculosis kits to patients, and provided nutrition kits to pregnant and nursing mothers in the area.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to social welfare and support for vulnerable sections of society. The ‘Apna Ghar’ ashram stands as a testament to efforts made towards improving the lives of those who need it the most, ensuring they have access to basic needs and a supportive community.
As the Chief Minister continues to promote various welfare schemes, the focus on enhancing the quality of life for the underprivileged remains a top priority for the Gujarat government.
