In Banaskantha district, Collector Mihir Patel recently honoured talented students for their outstanding performance in the board examinations. The ceremony took place at the Collector’s office in Palanpur. The event recognised students from both Class 10 and Class 12 who achieved excellent results. During the ceremony, Patel presented the students with shawls and educational kits as a token of encouragement.
Patel took this opportunity to guide the students on choosing their future academic paths. He emphasised the importance of selecting courses that align with their interests. He mentioned professional courses in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, UPSC, and NASA. Patel also shared his own experiences from his student days, inspiring the young minds in attendance.
The results from the recent board examinations were impressive. Banaskantha district secured the top rank in the state with a 89.29% pass rate in Class 10. For Class 12, the district also ranked first, achieving a 97.20% pass rate in the general stream and 89.25% in the science stream.
One of the students, Shrishti Chaudhari, who scored 594 out of 600 marks in Class 10, expressed her gratitude towards her teachers and parents. She thanked Collector Mihir Patel for the guidance she received, which she believes will help her become a guiding light in society.
Another student, Gautam Prajapati from Class 12, shared his experience studying at Vidyamandir in Palanpur. He mentioned how the advice from Collector Patel on career progression was invaluable and will greatly benefit him in the future. The ceremony was attended by the District Education Officer Hitesh Patel, various school principals, and other students.
The event was well-received by all present and highlighted the importance of recognising and encouraging academic excellence among students. It also aimed to motivate them to pursue higher studies and build a successful future.
