Congress Protests Against Poor Road Conditions in Nadiad

In Nadiad, local Congress leaders have voiced their concerns over the poor state of roads in the city. The protests took place near the Paras Circle, where a large pothole has been causing inconvenience to residents. Hardik Bhatt, the president of the Nadiad City Congress, submitted a written request to the Municipal Commissioner and officials, highlighting the urgent need for road repairs.

Since the transformation of the Nadiad Municipality into a Metropolitan area, residents have faced various issues regarding road conditions. Bhatt stated that while new roads are being approved by the government, existing roads remain neglected. This has led to difficulties for citizens, who have to contend with potholes and damaged streets in many areas.

Bhatt emphasized that it is crucial to repair these potholes before the onset of the monsoon. If repairs are not carried out, residents may have to navigate through these pits for the next five to six months. He provided a list of dilapidated roads in the Nadiad Municipal area that require immediate attention. Some of the notable locations include the ring road near Bhairavnath Temple and the road passing through Ghodia Bazaar.

The situation has worsened with the pothole at Paras Circle, which has been present for several days. Congress workers protested in front of this pothole, demanding swift action from the municipal authorities. Bhatt noted that a red tape barrier has been placed around the pothole, but there has been no significant action taken to fill it. Consequently, this has resulted in traffic jams, adding to the frustration of local commuters.

Bhatt expressed concern that past experiences indicate that accidents may occur before the authorities wake up to the problem. The protests aim to draw attention to the lack of timely maintenance and the need for immediate repairs to ensure the safety and comfort of Nadiad residents.

In conclusion, the Congress party is advocating for a comprehensive repair plan for all roads within the Nadiad Municipal area to prevent further inconveniences for the public. The residents of Nadiad hope that their voices will be heard and that necessary actions will be taken before the rains start.
