The rise in cases is alarming, especially in Ward Number 8, where 21 COVID-19 patients have been identified. Six new positive cases have been reported, including a young software engineer from Rustampura and a female fashion designer from Parlepoint. The total number of cases in Surat has reached 56. All patients’ samples have been sent for genomic sequencing as per government guidelines.
In Vadodara, the situation is also getting serious. Six new COVID-19 cases have prompted health authorities to take action. Hiten Chouhan, the RMO at SSG Hospital, stated that it is important to follow the previous safety guidelines again.
Officials are reminding the public to wear masks, maintain social distance, and avoid crowded places. Although the new variant of the virus is not considered very dangerous, precautions are essential. SSG Hospital is prepared to handle the situation, with sufficient oxygen and medicines available. Staff have also been informed of the necessary protocols to follow.
It is crucial for residents to stay alert and take precautions to prevent further spread of the virus. Health officials are urging everyone to remain cautious and follow all safety measures during this time. The community’s cooperation is vital to control the outbreak and protect public health.
The rise in COVID-19 cases serves as a reminder that the pandemic is not over. Everyone must do their part to stay safe and prevent the virus from spreading further in Rajkot and other cities in Gujarat. The health department will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary.
