In a significant move towards environmental conservation, the Green Pavagadh project has commenced its seed sowing initiative using drones. This event took place in the sacred site of Pavagadh, under the guidance of local MLA Jaydrasinh Parmar. The project aims to enhance the greenery and beauty of the area while promoting ecological health. A total of about 60 hectares have been targeted for this ambitious plan.
On this occasion, approximately 500 kilograms of various seeds were dispensed from drones. These seeds include Sindur, Sitafal (custard apple), Sag (a local tree), Amla (Indian gooseberry), Desi Baval (local babul), Vas, Goras Ambali, and Garamalo. The drone technology allows for efficient and widespread distribution of seeds across challenging terrains, making the process faster and more effective.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Panchmahal Cooperative Union Director Mayurdhvajsingh Parmar, Halol BJP President Pravin Singh, and forest officials including DCF Dr. Priyanka Gehlot and Halol Range Forest Officer Satishbhai Bariya. Their presence signifies the importance of this project and the collaborative efforts towards environmental preservation.
The Green Pavagadh project also aligns with the Prime Minister’s initiative called ‘One Tree, One Name’, which encourages planting trees for a sustainable future. The local government is keen on making Pavagadh not only a greener place but also a symbol of natural beauty and ecological balance.
