On June 5, the world will celebrate World Environment Day. In preparation, a farmer guidance program took place in Rasana Mota, located in the Disa taluka of Banaskantha district, Gujarat. The district agriculture department organised this event to raise awareness among farmers about eco-friendly farming methods.

Farmers were also introduced to innovative technologies. The use of drones for spraying nano-urea and nano-DAP (di-ammonium phosphate) was explained. This technology aims to lower production costs while improving crop yields. Additionally, balanced fertilizer management based on soil testing was discussed. The farmers were informed about various government schemes and assistance available through the e-Krishi portal.
Tree plantation and water conservation were key messages of the day. Farmers were motivated to take responsibility for the environment. They were encouraged to plant trees and adopt water-saving practices in their farms.
