Father Defeats Son in Village Election by One Vote

An unusual case was reported from the Galakund gram panchayat in Dangs, where a father, Suresh Vagh, became the sarpanch by defeating his son. He won with a lead of 576 votes, a surprising outcome for the family.

In Mehsana, results from the Padhariya gram panchayat showed that Ratan Singh Chavda won by just one vote, sparking curiosity and excitement among local residents.

In Gandhinagar’s Nadi gram panchayat, a tie was declared between both candidates, who each received 338 votes. To resolve this, a lottery was held, and Hardik Barot’s name was drawn, leaving Paresh Barot to face defeat.
