A fire broke out in the meter boxes of Rudraksh Avenue in Patan city on Wednesday afternoon. The incident was caused by a short circuit, leading to panic among local residents and shopkeepers. Thankfully, the fire was quickly noticed by the shopkeepers who immediately informed the fire department and the Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB). Firefighters from the Patan municipality arrived promptly at the scene. They worked swiftly to extinguish the flames after GEB cut off the power supply to the area. The quick response helped to prevent the situation from worsening. Local business owners speculated that an overload in the meters might have triggered the fire.
