In a shocking incident in the afternoon, a Tata AC tempo caught fire while speeding through Vandhar village in the Devgad Baria area of Dahod district. The tempo was driven by 28-year-old Rahul Kumar Bharat Singh Bariya. The vehicle caught fire around 2:45 PM, resulting in the loss of all spare parts except for the two rear tyres and the body of the vehicle. The estimated damage is around ₹2.5 lakh.
Rahul Kumar was driving his tempo at high speed when the fire suddenly ignited. Witnesses reported that the vehicle was engulfed in flames within moments. Local residents quickly alerted the fire department, and firefighters rushed to the scene to control the blaze. They worked diligently, using water to extinguish the fire, which was threatening to spread further.
The local fire brigade managed to bring the situation under control, but unfortunately, most of the vehicle was destroyed. The police were informed of the incident by Rahul Kumar, who filed a written complaint at the Devgad Baria police station. Authorities have noted the incident and initiated further investigations.
