Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Kishan Gaushala in Rajkot

In Rajkot, an important event is taking place at the Kishan Gaushala on June 27. This ceremony is held in honour of Ashadi Beej, a significant day for many in Gujarat. The Kishan Gaushala is located in the Bhagode area of Rajkot and is home to around 2,300 animals, including cows, bulls, and calves. The gaushala takes care of sick, blind, and disabled animals. They provide medical treatment and ensure that these animals are well looked after.

Apart from animal care, the Kishan Gaushala promotes activities related to natural farming. This year, like every year, the gaushala will hold a flag hoisting ceremony. The event will start at 5:00 PM at the Ramdevpir temple. After the flag hoisting, there will be a distribution of prasadam at 6:00 PM. Chandreshbhai Patel, the head of the gaushala, has invited all animal lovers and devotees to join this sacred occasion.

During this event, useful products for cow-based natural farming will also be available, such as organic fertilizers and herbal medicines. Guidance on cow-based and natural farming will be offered to those interested. Additionally, the gaushala runs a campaign called “Plant Trees, Bring Rain – Plant One Tree” to promote environmental welfare.

Chandreshbhai Patel has also initiated various religious events at the gaushala throughout the year. These include the Kamadhenu Cow Yagna, which is performed with Vedic mantras and is accompanied by bhajans, kirtans, speeches, and havans. Food and refreshments are provided to all participants. The aim of these divine activities is to highlight and preserve cow culture.

This event is not just about cow service but also aims to contribute to the overall improvement of the environment. Everyone is encouraged to participate and support these noble causes.

Rajkot has a rich tradition of celebrating such events, and the Kishan Gaushala plays a vital role in this. By taking part in the flag hoisting ceremony, attendees can express their love for cows and their commitment to the environment. It is a great opportunity to unite as a community and promote the values of compassion and care for all living beings.

As Gujarat continues to grow, events like these remind us of our responsibilities towards animals and nature. The Kishan Gaushala stands as a beacon of hope for many abandoned and sick animals, ensuring they receive the love and care they deserve. Join us on this special day to celebrate and support our furry friends and the beautiful environment we live in.
