Drishti Eye Hospital in Tharad recently organised a free health check-up camp in Tadav village, benefiting 517 people. The camp was part of Project DHV and was held at the local school. It attracted enthusiastic participation from the villagers.
During the camp, various medical checks were conducted. These included eye tests and general health assessments. Essential medications, eye drops, and free spectacles were provided to those in need. Notably, around 250 school children received free eye examinations. Children requiring corrective eyewear were tested for their prescription.
The initiative was led by Dr. Anand Purohit and Dr. Naushin Sheikh from Drishti Eye Hospital, along with their supportive team members. The camp aimed to raise health awareness in rural areas and ensure access to necessary medical care. Villagers and school representatives expressed their gratitude for the team’s efforts.
The event highlights the importance of regular health check-ups, especially in remote areas where access to medical facilities can be limited. Eye health is particularly crucial, as many vision problems can be easily treated if detected early. The camp not only provided immediate assistance but also educated the community on maintaining good health practices.
In addition to eye care, the camp also included general health checks, which are vital for early detection of health issues. Such initiatives can greatly improve the quality of life for many individuals in rural settings.
Drishti Eye Hospital is committed to serving the community and plans to organise more such camps in the future. They believe that regular health check-ups can prevent serious health conditions and encourage a healthier lifestyle.
The success of this camp is a testament to the power of community health initiatives. It not only helps individuals but also strengthens community bonds as people come together for a common cause. Future camps will aim to continue this momentum and reach even more villages, ensuring that healthcare is accessible to all.
Overall, this event was a significant step towards improving health and eye care in the Tadav village, showing how dedicated healthcare professionals can make a positive impact in underserved areas.
