Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Inspects Khavda Renewable Energy Park

Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recently visited the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, one of the largest hybrid renewable energy parks in the state. This park is located near Khavda and is a significant step towards green energy production in Gujarat. During his visit, Patel held a review meeting with officials from various companies involved in the project. The Chief Minister observed the progress of solar and wind energy initiatives from the Central Control Room. He emphasised the importance of these projects in achieving a greener future for the state.

The Khavda Renewable Energy Park is a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for sustainable energy. The park covers an area of approximately 800 square kilometres. The aim is to generate 37 gigawatts of environmentally-friendly electricity by the year 2028. This project is expected to provide electricity to around 1.85 crore homes across the country by 2028.

Rajendra Mistri, the Chief Project Officer of Gujarat Power Corporation Limited, presented the progress and work completed so far at the park. Several government and private companies are collaborating on this project, including the National Thermal Power Corporation, Adani Green Energy Limited, and Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited.

During the visit, Patel was accompanied by key officials, including the Kutch Collector Anand Patel and project heads from the involved companies. This inspection underscores the Gujarat government’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development.

Bhupendra Patel has been actively promoting green initiatives in Gujarat. His leadership aims to make the state a leader in renewable energy production. The Khavda Renewable Energy Park is a testament to these efforts, and it reflects the government’s dedication to environmental sustainability.
