In Gujarat, recent heavy rains have caused disruptions for many students. Some could not attend their supplementary exams due to flooding and traffic issues. The state government, under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, has decided to offer another chance for these students. Education Minister Prabhulbhai Panseriya announced that supplementary exams will be arranged for students who missed out. He acknowledged the weather’s impact, stating that several areas were flooded, making it difficult for students to reach their examination centres.
Currently, the supplementary exams for classes 10 and 12 are being held. However, a new arrangement is being made for those who were unable to take their exams. Students are encouraged to continue their studies and stay hopeful for better results in the future. The education department is committed to ensuring that no student is left behind.
The supplementary exams began on June 23 and will continue until July 3. The education board has set up a control room to monitor the situation. This is to ensure that any issues can be addressed promptly.
At Shreyas C.N. Vidyalaya in Ahmedabad, around 300 students are participating in the exams across ten blocks. The principal, Dhaval Pathak, shared that strict measures are in place. Students are not allowed to bring electronic devices, calculators, or mobile phones into the examination hall. CCTV cameras have been installed in all blocks to maintain security. Additionally, police staff are present to assist with the smooth conduct of the exams.
These supplementary exams are crucial for students who were unable to pass their previous tests or were absent. The education department aims to support these students by providing another opportunity to improve their grades. As the exams progress, students remain optimistic, hoping for successful outcomes.
