On June 15, 2023, the written exam for the Lokrakshak Cadre was held in various cities including Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Anand, and Gandhinagar. The exam was organized by the police and education departments. A total of 47,804 candidates registered for the exam, and 37,373 candidates participated, resulting in an impressive attendance rate of 95.80%. During the exam, there were four reported incidents of irregularities, and legal actions are being taken regarding these issues. The scanning of the OMR sheets for the present candidates is currently in progress and will soon be uploaded on the recruitment board’s website. This will allow candidates to download their OMR sheets.
In Ahmedabad, local police assisted a candidate who had a fracture in their leg, helping them reach the examination centre. This act of humanity was commendable. In some examination centres, candidates required immediate medical attention. The emergency services, known as 108 in Gujarat, provided necessary assistance. Furthermore, arrangements were made for candidates and their guardians coming from outside to stay overnight. The cooperation between the education and police departments was praised for their notable efforts in ensuring a smooth examination process.
