Gujarat Weather Update: Light Rain Forecast for 15 Districts Over Next 5 Days

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast indicating light rain accompanied by thunder in several districts. This forecast is expected to bring a cool breeze to the atmosphere. The rain is likely to occur between 4 PM and 7 PM on May 30, 2025. Districts such as Mahisagar, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Gir Somnath, Amreli, and Bhavnagar are included in this forecast.

On May 31, the same districts will experience scattered light rain along with thunder. Ahmedabad, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Dang, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu may also see light rainfall.

Many talukas in Gujarat have already experienced light to moderate rain since yesterday morning. Rain was recorded in 34 talukas, with the highest amount of rainfall being 23 mm in Ahwa and 22 mm in Jhagadia. In the past 24 hours, rain has fallen in 89 talukas, with Modasa receiving 2.4 inches and Saraswati 2.2 inches of rain.

The weather bulletin from the Meteorological Department states that light to moderate rain with thunder is anticipated in Dang, Tapi, Anand, Dahod, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada, Chhota Udaipur, Surat, Navsari, and Valsad over the next three hours. There is also a possibility of lightning in some areas.

Residents in these regions should prepare for possible rain and take precautions, especially during the forecasted time. The cool weather will be a relief from the heat that has been prevalent in recent weeks. This rain could also benefit the agriculture sector, providing much-needed moisture to the soil.
