Heavy Rain and Storms Hit Dahod District

Dahod, 14th. A sudden change in weather occurred in the Dahod area today evening, accompanied by strong winds, thunder, and rain. This unexpected storm caused trees, walls, and rooftops to be blown away. Reports also indicate incidents of lightning strikes. The rain brought a much-needed relief from the intense heat that residents had been suffering from for a long time.

The storm hit after 4 PM, shocking locals who had been enduring extreme heat and humidity. The thunder and lightning were loud, and the rain fell heavily. Many trees fell down in different areas, and there were reports of lightning hitting in one or two places.

The downpour led to a cooling effect in the atmosphere, providing respite from the sweltering heat. However, low-lying areas experienced waterlogging, making it difficult for people to move around. The sudden nature of the storm created a sense of fear among the residents.

In the Godirod area, parts of a shed at a pulse mill were blown away, and a wall approximately 40 feet long collapsed. A wall at the Little Flower School also fell down, but thankfully, there were no reports of injuries.

Overall, this sudden weather change brought significant challenges and dangers, but it also offered a welcome relief from the heat. As the weather calms down, residents are left to assess the damage and return to their daily lives, hoping for more stable weather ahead.
