Heavy Rain Forecast in Gujarat Until June 29

The weather department has issued a warning about heavy rainfall in several districts of Gujarat. According to the director, A.K. Das, the state can expect rain from June 24 to June 27. There is also a possibility of rain on June 27 during the sacred Rath Yatra festival. Today, Ahmedabad has a yellow alert for light rain. The department predicts light to moderate rainfall in the state over the next week.

Heavy rainfall is expected over the next four days, with thunderstorms accompanying the rain. Districts like Dahod, Vadodara, Navsari, Surat, Chhota Udepur, Gir Somnath, and Dwarka are under an orange alert for heavy rain. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea until June 24 due to potential rough waters.

On June 25, heavy rain alerts are issued for Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Bharuch, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Narmada, Vadodara, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Chhota Udepur. On June 26, Navsari, Valsad, Dang, Tapi, Narmada, Chhota Udepur, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Aravalli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir Somnath are also under yellow alert.

On June 27, Kutch, Morbi, Jamnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, Navsari, Dang, Tapi, Narmada, Chhota Udepur, Panchmahal, and Dahod will experience heavy rain with thunderstorms. Yellow alerts have been announced for most regions of the state on June 28 and 29 due to expected heavy rainfall.

As two weather systems are active concurrently, the possibility of heavy rainfall across the state is high. The public is urged to stay alert and follow the weather updates closely. This rain is critical as it supports the agricultural cycle and replenishes water resources in the region.
