In the last 48 hours, heavy rains have hit Gujarat, particularly in the Saurashtra region, including Bhavnagar and Amreli. This has led to flooding in several areas. Rivers are overflowing, affecting many villagers and disrupting daily life. To address this situation, an important meeting was held at the State Disaster Center in Gandhinagar.
The meeting was chaired by the Relief Commissioner and included members from various departments. Officials from the Meteorological Department, Revenue Department, Road and Building Department, and teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) participated. Officers from the Coast Guard and other agencies were also present. They reviewed relief and rescue operations during the meeting.

The government has emphasized the need for preparedness during this time to mitigate the effects of natural disasters. Residents are reminded to be cautious and to prepare for any potential emergencies as the rains continue. The situation will be monitored closely, and updates will be provided as needed. The state aims to keep its citizens informed and safe during these challenging weather conditions.
