Bodeli, a town in the Chhota Udaipur district, has been hit by heavy rainfall. This downpour has led to water accumulating in low-lying areas. Reports indicate that about 3 inches of rain fell in the region since early morning. Shops and homes have been affected, especially in areas like Aliapura and Sadhna Nagar Society.
The continuous rain has disrupted daily life. Many shops, including a Chinese restaurant, have water flooding inside. Residents of Sadhna Nagar Society found water in their porches, causing significant inconvenience. The market area also saw water accumulation, making it difficult for pedestrians and vehicles to pass.
The weather changed dramatically in the afternoon, with dark clouds forming. By evening, loud thunderclaps signaled the start of the rain. This sudden change brought relief to people suffering from the heat. Previously, residents had endured high temperatures for days, making the rain a welcome event.
In addition to shops, two drainage systems are reported to have overflowed, leading to further flooding. The rain has made it challenging for people to move around the town. Many residents ventured out to enjoy the rain, celebrating the cooling effect it brought.
The arrival of the monsoon usually occurs in mid-June, and this year, it has officially begun in Chhota Udaipur district. The locals are grateful for the rain as it breaks the oppressive heat.
