H&H Aluminium Pvt Ltd has launched India’s largest aluminium solar frame manufacturing plant in Rajkot, Gujarat. This new facility is located in Chibhda village and has a production capacity of 24,000 metric tons per year. It can support solar installations of up to 6 Gigawatts (GW) across India.
The plant was officially opened on July 4, 2025, by Shri C. R. Patil, the Union Minister of Jal Shakti. The event was attended by senior government officials and members of the H&H Aluminium leadership team, along with invited guests.
The company has invested around ₹150 crore in this state-of-the-art plant, which spans 28,000 square meters. Trial production began in June 2025, and commercial production is expected to start soon. Once fully operational, the plant aims to generate annual sales of ₹700-750 crore and provide jobs for over 300 people.
Uttam Patel, Director of H&H Aluminium, stated, “This plant is the most advanced solar panel aluminium frame facility in India. Built in just about a year, it represents a significant step towards supporting the Make in India initiative. Currently, India imports 90-95% of its aluminium solar panel frames. With this plant, we aim to change that.”
In September 2024, the Indian government imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of anodized aluminium frames for solar panels from China. The duty, which ranges from $403 to $577 per metric ton, aims to protect domestic manufacturers.
Vijay Kaneria, another Director at H&H Aluminium, highlighted the growth potential in the renewable energy sector. He mentioned that India reached a historic milestone of 100 GW of solar power capacity in 2025. The government has set an ambitious target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with a substantial portion expected from solar power.
H&H Aluminium’s new plant is equipped with advanced technology, including SCADA and IoT-enabled production lines for real-time monitoring and quality control. It also includes an in-house research and development facility and a quality lab to ensure high standards for their products. The company’s aluminium frames comply with international standards for strength and weather resistance, making them suitable for sustainable energy solutions.
The company’s products are RoHS and REACH compliant, meaning they are free from hazardous substances and are 100% recyclable. This aligns with eco-friendly energy initiatives, further promoting sustainability in the industry.
H&H Aluminium aims to play a key role in India’s renewable energy future by providing quality solar panel frames that boost domestic manufacturing and decrease reliance on imports.
