The Gujarat government has declared a public holiday for the Kadi and Visavadar assembly by-elections scheduled for June 19, 2025. This announcement comes from the General Administration Department, which issued a notification regarding the holiday. The decision is in accordance with Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881 and a notification from the Central Home Ministry dated May 8, 1968.
The by-elections are significant as they will determine the representatives for both the Kadi and Visavadar assembly constituencies. In Kadi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced Rajendra Dineshwar Chavda as their candidate.
