IFFCO, the world’s largest cooperative, has announced significant growth for the financial year 2024-25. The company reported a profit before tax of ₹3,811 crores, up by 47% in sales of nano fertilisers. During this financial year, IFFCO sold 36.5 million bottles of nano fertilisers, compared to 24.9 million bottles in the previous year. This surge in sales reflects the growing acceptance of these products among farmers.

The total turnover for IFFCO in 2024-25 reached ₹41,244 crores. Chairman Dilip Sanghani expressed pride in these figures, stating that they contribute to the cooperative sector’s goal of “Cooperation for Prosperity.” He noted that IFFCO has consistently achieved profits over ₹3,000 crores for three consecutive years.

Additionally, IFFCO has maintained a strong commitment to its shareholders by providing a 20% dividend on paid-up capital for the last 23 years. This highlights the cooperative’s dedication to equality and sustainable growth.

The Central Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers has supported IFFCO’s focus on nano fertilisers, which are crucial for enhancing agricultural productivity. Awareness campaigns and research initiatives have significantly increased farmer engagement with these products.

Out of the 36.5 million bottles sold, 26.8 million were of IFFCO Nano Urea Plus (liquid), while 9.7 million were IFFCO Nano DAP (liquid). Sales of IFFCO Nano Urea Plus increased by 31%, and IFFCO Nano DAP saw a remarkable 118% rise compared to the previous financial year. This increase is equivalent to the sale of 12 lakh metric tonnes of conventional urea and 4.85 lakh metric tonnes of conventional DAP.

IFFCO also achieved sales of 1.92 lakh metric tonnes in specialty fertilisers, with WSFF sales increasing by 2% compared to the previous year. Sales of Sagirika liquid reached 11.55 lakh litres, growing by 33%, while Sagirika granules increased by 28% to 68,000 metric tonnes. Furthermore, the sale of bio-fertilizers rose by 35%, reaching 8.61 lakh litres compared to the last financial year.

IFFCO’s innovative approach to fertilisers and its commitment to sustainable practices have played a crucial role in its success. The cooperative’s efforts not only contribute to its financial strength but also support the agricultural community across India. As IFFCO continues to grow, it remains focused on providing quality products that meet the needs of farmers and promote sustainable agricultural practices.

The rise in nano fertiliser sales indicates a positive trend in modern farming techniques and reflects IFFCO’s role in transforming the agricultural landscape in India. With ongoing research and development, IFFCO is well-positioned to lead the way in the fertiliser industry, ensuring both profitability and environmental sustainability.
