In a significant operation against illegal activities, the rural police of Disa uncovered a gambling den in Vasna, a village in the Disa taluka of Banaskantha district, Gujarat. The police acted on a tip-off received about illegal gambling activities taking place in the area. Officers patrolling the Junadisa outpost spotted a group engaging in gambling in an open space near a cluster of bushes, close to a bungalow in Vasna.
During the raid, the police arrested four individuals who were caught red-handed while playing gambling games. The suspects were found in possession of cash amounting to ₹13,090, which was seized by the authorities. The arrested individuals have been identified as Pappubhai alias Papu Manubhai Patni (age 25, resident of Bungalow Vasna), Vikrambhai Chandabhai Saraniya (age 19, resident of Junadisa Jivan Jyot Society), Lalmahmad alias Zakir Abdulbhai Sindhi (age 35, resident of Junadisa), and Keshabhai Bhikhabhai Menpura (age 55, resident of Vasna, Junadisa).
The Disa Rural Police have initiated legal proceedings against the arrested individuals. This operation is part of a broader crackdown on illegal gambling and other unlawful activities in the region.
