Recently, following a serious bridge accident, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, directed the Collector of Banaskantha district, Mihir Patel, to organize inspection teams to assess various bridges in the area. This is part of a safety audit initiative. Within a month, the safety audit for all bridges will be completed and a report will be submitted to the government.
Today, under the guidance of District Collector Mihir Patel, the Suigam Taluka Officer inspected a total of two minor bridges on the Suigam-Jaloya-Nadabet road, along with one bridge leading from the Bhabhar National Highway to Vawadi. Additionally, they examined two bridges over the Bharat and Narmada rivers. After the inspection, no major flaws were found in any of the bridges.
However, the Suigam Taluka Officer noted some technical issues, such as water accumulation and blockages in drainage systems. Immediate repairs were recommended to the relevant department officials to address these concerns. This proactive approach aims to ensure the safety of the public and maintain the structural integrity of the bridges.
