International Yoga Day Celebrated at G.D. Modi College in Palanpur

On June 21, G.D. Modi College of Arts in Palanpur celebrated International Yoga Day with the theme “One Earth, One Health”. This event was organized by the Central Communication Bureau, Palanpur, in association with Unit 35 Gujarat Battalion, NCC, Palanpur. The celebration aimed to promote yoga as a vital part of daily life.

J.D. Chaudhary, an officer from the Central Communication Bureau, shared the message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He urged citizens to practice yoga and integrate it into their lives. The theme emphasizes the importance of achieving good health for all, promoting the idea that yoga should reach every home around the world.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, students, faculty members, and invited guests. The aim was to encourage citizens to adopt yoga for a healthier society, thus fulfilling the Prime Minister’s vision of a healthy world. The celebration included various yoga practices in accordance with the yoga protocol.

Yoga guru Prakash Vasu from the Art of Living conducted the session. He led participants through a series of yoga asanas and pranayama exercises, reinforcing the resolution to make yoga an integral part of life. The academy director highlighted the significance of celebrating International Yoga Day and congratulated the Central Communication Bureau and the NCC for their efforts.

Colonel, the commanding officer of 35 Gujarat Battalion, also delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the need for a healthy lifestyle through yoga. He encouraged everyone to keep practicing yoga beyond this day.
