International Yoga Day Celebrated in Palanpur

Palanpur recently celebrated International Yoga Day, bringing together various organizations for a special event. The Central Communication Bureau, along with Unit 35 Gujarat Battalion NCC and G.D. Modi College of Arts, organized this celebration. The theme for this year was ‘One Earth, One Health through Yoga’.

The event took place at G.D. Modi College, where the students, teachers, and invited guests participated with great enthusiasm. J.D. Choudhary, an officer from the Central Communication Bureau, explained the importance of yoga. He mentioned how Prime Minister Modi urged citizens to make yoga a part of their daily lives. The aim is to spread the benefits of yoga across the world, fulfilling the theme of this year’s celebration.

India celebrates International Yoga Day on June 21 every year. This day aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among the citizens and build a healthy society. The Prime Minister’s vision is to make yoga accessible to everyone and to encourage global unity through the practice of yoga.

During the event, yoga protocols were followed, led by yoga guru Prakash Vasu from the Art of Living organization. Participants engaged in various yoga asanas and pranayama exercises, committing to incorporate yoga into their lives.

Amit Parikh, the academy director, highlighted the significance of celebrating Yoga Day. He congratulated the Central Communication Bureau and the NCC for organizing the event. Colonel Jagjeet Buswana, the commanding officer of Unit 35 Gujarat Battalion NCC, also shared his thoughts on the importance of yoga.

In addition to the main event, the Central Communication Bureau and the Gujarat Yoga Board planned yoga sessions in residential areas of Palanpur throughout June. This initiative aimed to spread awareness about yoga and its benefits to the community. The presence of NCC cadets, officials, and faculty members from G.D. Modi College contributed to the event’s success. The support from Lieutenant Dr. Nilesh Kumar Patel and Dr. Mihir Bhai Dave was also appreciated.

Through these efforts, the organizers hope to educate the community about yoga and its health benefits. The event not only celebrated yoga but also reinforced the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in today’s fast-paced world. Yoga can be a solution to various health issues and promote well-being among all individuals.
