Residents of Jambusar Mahapura village are facing serious problems due to a railway diversion. This situation has made the main road leading to the village difficult to use. The railway contractor has carried out earthworks before the monsoon, but the work has not been completed properly. The road is now covered in mud, making it hard for vehicles to pass. Rainwater washes mud onto the road, creating large puddles and making it slippery. The diversion is also poorly constructed, causing vehicles to get stuck. Many residents have reported that their vehicles often get trapped in the mud. This issue is especially dangerous for school children who ride bicycles to school. They have fallen off their bikes on several occasions due to the poor road conditions.
Despite repeated complaints to the railway contractor, no action has been taken to improve the situation. Residents state that the contractor’s workers often leave piles of mud and debris on the road. This has led to the road being blocked from both sides. When an emergency arises, such as a medical issue, the ambulance service (108) is unable to reach the village, putting lives at risk. The villagers are frustrated and demand immediate repairs to the road. They are concerned about who will be responsible if someone falls ill and cannot receive timely medical help.
The local community is calling for a swift resolution to this pressing issue. They want the railway authorities to take responsibility and ensure that the road is safe for all residents. The villagers hope for quick action to restore proper access to their village.
