Kalol police have made a significant breakthrough in solving motorcycle theft cases in the Panchmahal district of Gujarat. They recovered five stolen motorcycles worth approximately ₹1,00,000. In addition, they have also cracked four undetected vehicle theft cases from various police stations.
This operation was guided by Police Inspector R.D. Bharwad and involved the surveillance staff. They were conducting vehicle checks near MG Chowkdi in Kalol when they spotted two suspicious individuals riding a black-and-white Hero Splendor motorcycle without a number plate. Upon stopping them for an inspection, the suspects could not provide any vehicle documents.
Checking the engine and chassis numbers revealed that the motorcycle had been reported stolen under case number 11207036250636/2025, according to the relevant law.
During further questioning, the suspects admitted that they had stolen the motorcycle a month ago from a parking area in front of a Hero showroom in Halol. With the help of technical support from the Local Crime Branch (LCB), police were able to uncover more stolen motorcycles from other areas.
As a result, law enforcement has taken legal action against the individuals involved in these vehicle thefts. The police encourage citizens to report any suspicious activities to help prevent further incidents of theft in the community.
