In a recent development, a new complaint has been filed against Mehul Rabari from Vekra village in Kadi taluka, Gujarat. This complaint is related to a land fraud case where Rabari and his associates allegedly deceived a land trader by taking a large sum of money and failing to provide the necessary documents for valuable agricultural land.
The case unfolded when Manan Ashwinbhai Patel, who operates a land trading office on Sindhubhavan Road in Ahmedabad, reported that he had paid millions of rupees for land in Vekra, Khavad, and Varkhadiya villages in Kadi taluka in 2021. According to his claims, Mehul Rabari and Raju Bhai Bharwad assured him that the land would be transferred to his name. However, after making the payment, Patel faced numerous excuses from Rabari regarding the transfer of land documents.
Patel was repeatedly told that the paperwork would be ready soon, but when he pressed for it, he was threatened with violence by Rabari and his associates. This led Patel to file a police complaint, which has now sparked a significant investigation into the alleged land scam.
Additionally, Rabari recently made an online application to the Collector for non-agricultural use of land that he claimed he owned. However, it was revealed that he provided false information in this application, as the land was still being used for agricultural purposes without prior approval. The Kadi Taluka Mamlatdar has also reported this misuse of agricultural land to the Collector.
In light of these events, the Mehsana Collector has authorized the filing of a police complaint against Mehul Rabari for allegedly committing fraud and providing misleading information to government authorities. Following this directive, the Bavlu police have begun a detailed investigation into the case.
