In a recent operation, police in Bharuch district arrested a man for possessing a large quantity of illegal liquor. The arrest took place in the village of Dhundha. The Bharuch Local Crime Branch (LCB) was on patrol when they received a tip-off about the illegal activity. The suspect, identified as Narendra alias Nanda Poonam Vasava, was allegedly storing foreign-made liquor in a field behind his home.

During the search, they discovered several bottles of foreign liquor and beer cans. The total value of the seized items was approximately INR 2,57,880. This included liquor, a scooter valued at INR 50,000, and a mobile phone worth INR 5,000. In total, the confiscated goods were worth around INR 3,12,880.
Narendra Vasava, aged 28, resides in Dhundha village, located in the Tekra Faliya area of the Zaghadiya district. He was taken into custody along with two other men, Ranjit Mafat Vasava from the nearby village of Napatna and Dinesh Shantilal Vasava from Chitrol. Both men are now wanted by the police for their involvement in this illegal operation.
The Bharuch police have registered a case under the Prohibition Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
