In Sabarkantha district, the distribution of mark sheets began today, 14 days after the announcement of Class 12 results. Students were seen arriving at their schools to collect their mark sheets. The results for the general stream were announced on May 5, showing a pass rate of 92.89%. This is a slight increase from last year’s rate of 92.10%, which saw a decrease of 0.79%. In the science stream, this year’s pass rate was 78.36%, an improvement from last year’s 76.11% by 2.25%. According to statistics from the District Education Office, a total of 8,951 students appeared for the general stream exams. Among them, 37 students achieved an A1 grade, 595 secured A2, 1,753 received a B1, 2,599 got a B2, 2,220 earned C1, 964 were given C2, 74 received a D, and 2 students got an E1 grade. However, 794 students failed the exams.
In the science stream, 2,551 students sat for the exams. One student achieved an A1 grade, 104 received A2, 309 got B1, 440 achieved B2, 500 secured C1, 512 received C2, 132 got D, and 1 student received an E1 grade. Out of these, 557 students failed.
Schools are providing mark sheets along with other certificates to the students. The Gujarat Secondary Education Board has made it easier for students to check their results online. This year, students can view their results on the board’s official website. They can also send their seat number via WhatsApp to a designated number to obtain their results.
The Class 12 exams took place from March 11 to March 26, with a total of 630,352 students registered. Of these, 378,268 students attended the exams and 347,738 passed. The overall pass rate for the general stream was 91.93%, while the science stream saw a pass rate of 82.45%.
Within the district, the highest pass percentage in the general stream was recorded at 99.61% in Chhala, while the lowest was 51.36% in Chhota Udaipur. In terms of centers, the highest was at the Punsari center with 99.43%. The results also indicate that performance improved overall compared to previous years, with fewer schools having a pass rate of less than 10%.
Interestingly, the best-performing student from the science stream in Sabarkantha was Aanchal Narayanbhai Patel from Nathuram Bapa Jyoti Vidyalaya, who scored 92.16% at the Khedbrahma center. The school principal congratulated her for bringing pride to the institution. This year’s results reflect a positive trend in academic performance, showing that students are gradually achieving better outcomes in their examinations.
As the education board prepares for the next academic year, they are focusing on further improvements in education standards across all districts. With enhanced facilities and online resources, students are expected to perform even better in the future. The board aims for 100% pass rates in the coming years, with numerous initiatives planned to support students and educators alike.
