A significant meeting took place in Olpad, Surat, focusing on the registration of land for 105 government primary schools. This gathering was held at the Taluka Panchayat Hall and was chaired by Naginbhai Patel, the in-charge Taluka Primary Education Officer. All head teachers from the schools attended the meeting.
The state government has issued guidelines for registering land under the names of government primary schools across the state. In response, Arun Kumar Agrawal, the in-charge District Primary Education Officer, instructed that similar steps should be taken for primary schools in Surat district. The head teachers were tasked with collecting important documents, including the 7/12 and 8A land records, as quickly as possible.
During the meeting, Vijaybhai Jargaliya, the Beat Inspector, provided detailed guidance on the necessary procedures for registering the land. He emphasized that if the land is currently registered under names like Gauchar, Government land, or any other department, it must include the name of the relevant primary school as the rightful owner.
At the start of the meeting, a moment of silence was observed for the late Kiritbhai Patel, the president of the Surat District Primary Teachers Association, in memory of his wife, Shilpaben. Notable attendees included Baldevbhai Patel, president of the Taluka Primary Teachers Association, Mahendrasinh Thakor, the secretary, and Bharatbhai Taylor, in-charge Beat Inspector.
