Nadiad Bus Stand Condition Causes Trouble for Passengers

In Nadiad, the condition of the bus stand has become very poor. Large potholes have formed in the bus stand area. During the rainy season, these potholes fill with water, making it difficult for passengers. When buses enter the stand, it feels like an earthquake to the passengers due to the bad condition of the ground. Travelers are demanding that the potholes be filled as soon as possible.

Years ago, there were two bus stands in Nadiad, old and new. However, the new bus stand is under construction, so all bus services are now operating from the old stand, which has been in poor condition for some time. The merging of the two bus stands has worsened the situation. Now, there are even larger potholes, and rainwater collects in them for long periods.

Passengers have reported that when buses arrive, they often hit these potholes. This can lead to water splashing onto the travelers’ clothes. Furthermore, there is barely any space left to walk inside the bus stand. Due to these problems, passengers are facing great difficulties.

Many complaints have been made regarding this issue, but the GSRTC authorities seem to only take temporary measures. Repairs are done, but within a few days, the same problems return. Passengers are still left standing with no proper area to wait comfortably.

The roof of the bus stand leaks during rain, soaking the passengers waiting below. Additionally, stray cows roam around the bus stand, causing further inconvenience. These animals often disturb travelers and can damage their belongings. Travelers have been facing these issues for a long time, especially during the monsoon season when conditions become even worse.

Despite these ongoing problems, there has been little action from the GSRTC depot manager. Passengers are urging for immediate attention to the bus stand’s state. They want a proper solution to the persistent issues they face every day.

The situation at Nadiad bus stand is becoming increasingly urgent. Passengers deserve a safe and clean environment to wait for their buses. It is important for the authorities to address these concerns promptly to improve the travel experience for everyone.
