Nadiad’s Physically Challenged Children Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Handmade Rakhis

In Nadiad, a special event is taking place for Raksha Bandhan. The Maitri Organisation has been helping physically challenged children for 27 years. This year, these children have created over 5,000 beautiful rakhis. They have worked hard for four months to make these designer rakhis. They are not only unique but also affordable compared to market prices.

As Raksha Bandhan approaches, it is our duty to support these children. We should celebrate this festival with the rakhis made by them. It will help make their efforts meaningful and encourage them to become self-reliant.

What makes this project special is that children from different religions have come together to make these rakhis. This promotes harmony among all communities. The organisation is also prepared to send rakhis to other cities or even abroad. They have arranged for parcels to be sent out this year.

The exhibition will take place from July 1, 2025, until the day of Raksha Bandhan. You can buy these rakhis at the Maitri Organisation, located opposite the Nagar Palika School near the new bus stand in Nadiad. For more details, you can contact them at 9033242440. Let’s make this Raksha Bandhan special by supporting these talented children and their hard work.
