Kalol, Gujarat – A new civil court building was inaugurated in Kalol on Sunday. The event marked the end of a long wait for the community. The construction of the new building cost over 7.5 crore rupees and was completed in 2023. The old civil court was in poor condition and needed replacement. Construction started on January 31, 2021, but the inauguration was delayed until now due to various reasons. For the last five to six years, court operations had been ongoing in a temporary building adjacent to the construction site. This situation caused inconvenience to lawyers, litigants, and court staff, all eagerly awaiting the new facility.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key figures, including Trishikesh Patel, the Gujarat Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and Justice J.C. Doshi of the Gujarat High Court. The Principal Senior Civil Judge and the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate also participated in the event. The ceremony began with a lamp-lighting ritual, followed by Justice Doshi officially opening the new court building.
The new civil court will provide better facilities for the legal community in Kalol. It aims to enhance the efficiency of court operations and improve the overall experience for those involved in legal matters. During the ceremony, several dignitaries were present, including Chandra Pal Singh K. Chauhan, the Principal District Judge of Panchmahal, and Himanshu Solanki, the District Police Chief. The Member of the Legislative Assembly for Kalol, Fateh Singh Chauhan, was also in attendance.
The event was a significant milestone for Kalol. The new court building is expected to boost the local legal infrastructure and improve access to justice for the residents. It reflects the commitment of the Gujarat government to enhance the judicial system in the state.
The Kalol Bar Association had previously raised concerns over the delay in the inauguration. Their persistent efforts finally bore fruit, leading to the successful opening of the new court building. In addition to government officials and judges, members of the Kalol Bar Association, court employees, and staff were also present to celebrate this important occasion.
This new facility is a welcome addition to the town. It symbolizes progress and commitment to improving the legal framework in Gujarat. As the new civil court opens its doors, it is hoped that it will serve the community effectively and efficiently for many years to come.
