New Health Review Centre Opens in Gandhinagar

In a significant move to enhance health services in Gujarat, a new Health Review Centre has been inaugurated in Gandhinagar. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Health Minister Rishikesh Patel, this initiative aims to strengthen health services and improve public welfare. The centre will allow for comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of health-related services, schemes, and programmes at a single location.

The Health Review Centre will officially open on June 5. This centre will facilitate regular follow-ups and assessments of health programmes implemented by various branches of the health department. It will also provide rapid feedback to reach beneficiaries who have been deprived of district-level services.

A helpline number, 104, has been established for citizens to access information about health schemes and to receive advice or consultations related to health matters. This is part of the government’s commitment to making health information accessible from home.

The centre is designed to integrate data from all health programmes into a single dashboard for monitoring and evaluation. It will enable quick communication between district officials and health workers, allowing for immediate improvements in service delivery based on feedback.

In times of emergencies, such as natural disasters or epidemics, the Health Review Centre will serve as an effective medium for quick implementation of strategies devised by high-level officials and experts. Through audio-visual communications, it will facilitate timely decision-making and implementation of policies.

Facilities at the Health Review Centre include:
– A modern audio-visual conference room with 12 terminals.
– A meeting room for video conferencing and seating arrangements for on-duty officials.
– An advanced call centre with up to 100 trained call-takers to provide consultations and guidance regarding health services.
– A CAD call centre application designed to manage call recordings securely and efficiently.
– Two-way communication arrangements with district administration and health officials for ongoing dialogue.
– Monitoring of health programme dashboards for feedback and assessment.

The Health Review Centre will focus on various critical health services, including maternal health, child health, tuberculosis management, vaccination programmes, and the PMJAY scheme. It will evaluate feedback from patients receiving treatment under these initiatives and ensure that health services reach those in need.

The 104 health helpline will assist citizens in accessing information about health plans, providing advice on various diseases, and addressing health service complaints. This helpline will also offer telemedicine consultations, counselling, and other health-related services.
