The Dharti Aaba Jan Jatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan has officially started in Banaskantha district. This special initiative aims to boost the development of tribal communities across the region. Under the guidance of District Collector Mihir Patel, the campaign will run until July 15, 2025. It focuses on raising awareness and distributing benefits to tribal people in the areas of health, food supply, rural development, social welfare, agriculture, revenue, education, and local governance.
Recently, awareness camps were held in Danta and Tharad talukas. These events took place at the Piplawali Wav Ashram School and the Mota Mesra Primary School. More camps are scheduled for July 4, 2025, at Kunwarsai Primary School, Khuniya Primary School, and Bharol Primary School.
Departments involved in the campaign include health, food supply, rural development, social welfare, and agriculture. They will provide essential services such as Aadhaar cards, ration cards, caste certificates, Ayushman cards, Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, Prime Minister Jan Dhan accounts, disability pensions, MGNREGA loans, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, and benefits of Anganwadi schemes.
A total of 191,896 tribal individuals from 167 villages across five talukas in Banaskantha district are included in this initiative. The main goal is to create awareness about various government schemes and benefits available to the tribal community.
