A new overbridge will soon be built in the Motipura area of Himmatnagar, Gujarat. Construction will start in the first week of June. This project will cost more than Rs 35 crore. The overbridge will be 1163 meters long and 25 meters wide. The work is expected to finish by November 2024, just seven months after it starts. Currently, final preparations are underway for the bridge. After load testing, the bridge will be opened for traffic.
The overbridge will be part of National Highway 48, which connects Ahmedabad to Udaipur. Along this highway, 32 overbridges and three railway overbridges are being constructed from Chiloda to Shamalaji. Work is ongoing on box bridges near Gamdi, Sarvana, and Gadadar. Additionally, railway overbridges are also under construction in Raigarh, Gambhoi, and Gadadar. Construction is also taking place in Prantij Bokh, Chandrala, and Chiloda.
