New Residential Complex ‘Aishwaryam’ Inaugurated for Raj Bhavan Employees in Gandhinagar

A new residential complex named ‘Aishwaryam’ has been inaugurated in Gandhinagar by the Governor, Acharya Devvrat. This modern facility is designed for the employees and officers of the Raj Bhavan. During the inauguration, the Governor expressed that ‘Aishwaryam’ represents happiness, prosperity, and wealth. He hopes that this residential area will provide comfort, respect, peace, and satisfaction to the Raj Bhavan family.

The newly built complex consists of various types of housing units. There are 96 Type-C houses, 32 Type-D houses, four Type-G houses, and four Type-K houses. Additionally, the complex includes a community hall, a health centre, ten shops, and a large garden. The Governor emphasized the importance of a harmonious and united community within ‘Aishwaryam’.

The need for this new facility arose as the previous staff quarters at Raj Bhavan had become very old and dilapidated. Upon taking office, Governor Acharya Devvrat initiated the construction of this new residential complex, performing the ground-breaking ceremony on November 1, 2022.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the community hall named ‘Saraswati Sadan’. Alongside the unveiling of the complex, the Governor also opened an ATM centre of the State Bank of India within the premises. He stated that the families living in this complex should ensure it remains free from any form of addiction or misconduct. The Governor remarked that the children are the greatest asset, and he hopes they will grow up to achieve great things.

Expressing his aspiration for ‘Aishwaryam’ to become a model colony, the Governor said that anyone wishing to see an ideal colony should visit Raj Bhavan’s ‘Aishwaryam’. He expressed his wishes for the families residing there to progress and prosper.

During the event, several dignitaries were present, including the General Manager of the State Bank of India in Gandhinagar and senior officials from the Raj Bhavan. The Chief Secretary, Ashok Sharma, thanked the Governor for his guidance in creating this beautiful facility. He highlighted the responsibility of everyone to maintain the physical and moral cleanliness of the complex.

The construction of ‘Aishwaryam’ is a significant step in improving the living conditions for Raj Bhavan employees. With modern amenities and a focus on community well-being, the complex aims to foster a supportive environment for all its residents. As families settle into their new homes, hopes are high that ‘Aishwaryam’ will indeed become a thriving and exemplary community.
