Ahmedabad is set to see the launch of two special trains. These trains aim to meet the needs of passengers travelling to Mumbai and Delhi. The Western Railway has announced details about these services.
The first train is the Ahmedabad-Delhi Superfast Special, numbered 09497/09498. This train will leave Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, at 23:45. It will arrive in Delhi the next day at 14:30. The return train, number 09498, will depart Delhi on June 13, 2025, at 17:30 and arrive back in Ahmedabad at 08:30 the following morning.
Both trains will stop at various stations along the route. Some of these stations include Mehsana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Marwad, Ajmer, Jaipur, Alwar, Rewari, Gurugram, and Delhi Cantt. The train will feature AC 3-tier coaches for passenger comfort.
The second train is the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Superfast Special, numbered 09494/09493. Train number 09494 will depart Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, at 23:55, reaching Mumbai Central at 08:10 the next day. The return service, train number 09493, will leave Mumbai Central on June 13, 2025, at 11:10 and arrive back in Ahmedabad at 19:30.
This train will also stop at several important stations, including Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali. It will offer AC 3-tier and AC chair car coaches.
Booking for these trains has already started. Passengers can book tickets at all PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. For more details about train schedules, stops, and coach types, travellers can visit the Indian Railways enquiry website at www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in.
